CAUTION WHEN INSTALLING CV KIT

When installing the CV kit, grease the inner and outer CV's first! Once the inner and outer adapters are installed be sure that the flat zerk plug is screwed in on the outside adapters. Otherwise it will hit the trailing arm and could break off while in motion. After approx. 500 miles of driving you should service and torque your CV's. Use a grease gun and apply around 5 pumps into each adapter. (Remember after you service your CV kit, put the flat plugs back on the outside adapters.)

  • The adapters are marked inner and outer
  • CLEAN ALL HARDWARE WITH BRAKLEEN AND Q- TIPS this is extremely important!! (So clean you could eat off them!)
  • Torque 30ft.lbs on black allen cap screws for adapters
  • Torque 50ft.lbs on factory bolts
  • Use Loctite on all fasteners
  • I recommend marking the black allen bolts on the adapters with a yellow paint pen to make sure they continue to stay tight. *CHECK CV’S AND ADAPTERS OFTEN (EVERY 6 MONTHS) TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT VIBRATING LOOSE!
