This early 260Z does not carry an ID plate, likely starting out as a school car for the Bondurant driving school at Sears Point (Infineon). Eventually it was built into an edurance race car that was driven in the 1978 24 hours of Daytona and the 1978 12 hours of Sebring, finishing well in both races. In the early '80's, this Z car received IMSA flares, G-nose body work and big tires. This allowed the car to run in the IMSA GTU and SCCA ASR classes. Some of competion drivers include Steve Cook, James Fisher, R. Reed, Mike Nolan and, of course, Bob Bondurant.
